Well, I must say that is a little embarrasing get lost in this modern times, since with all the devices, communications and else, is a kind of difficult to get lost in the modern world.
I supposed to be at the lab by 10am on last wednesday but I arrived around 3pm, yes 3pm and almost frozen. Why?, 'cause I got lost that day, I wake up early, sent an e-mail saying I am on my way to the lab, make the appointment and leave Craig's house, then catched the bus, the 66 which supposed to take me to the lab according to Metro website, where I did my mapping to avoing delays and loses. The map told me to get off the bus in the 9th and Howen, so I asked to the driver for that direction and so on, after an hour of travelling time I got that corner and based on the map I saw, I walked up to blocks where the lab was supposing to be but surprise it wasn't, just a house with same name as the lab has, well almost the same name (Seattle's Children Research Hospital House) the word house made the only difference but anyway I was there, so next step, know where I was??. Asked to the postman and he said, you're in the right place, maybe the building was just moved, what?, moved!!!!. No way, I took the next bus and got nowhere. So, finally step out of that bus, breath deeply and took the 70, which sounded familiar too me and finally got the main campus at UW, where I continue my searching for a public phone as I did for the last 3 hours, and I wondered that there only one public damaged phone, so no phone, no public bathrooms, I was full of water inside me, ungry and hungry, were actually 2.30pm, enter to a chinese burguer restaurant, ate something fast with fries, use the bathroom, asked for how to go to the lab and they mentioned the 66 route, whatttttt?, again no, so took the 66, asked to the driver for the lab, finally got the building I was looking for, it was actually 5 minutes from home but anyway, conclusions are, no public phones are available anymore, no ubication without a wireless device on hands, no orientation, nothing and nothing, in the modern world getting lost is a easy activity that can take you nowhere, and else, in the middle of the winter, 0°C outside. Great adventure in Seattle!!!
